Accountable & reliable
Teams can thrive on working together. Small teams can sometimes overcome insurmountable obstacles. Small teams can out-innovate and out-design larger teams. This can only work when every member of said team is accountable for their work and is reliable in how they deliver their work.
These are two aspects that require action and actually paying your dues within the team. No one can say they’re reliable. No one can suggest that they’re accountable. Those aspects and opinions are formed by the other members of the team. Its your team that will see you and decide if you’re accountable and reliable when it comes to delivering whats necessary.
If you’re not accountable to yourself, you won’t be accountable to your team. If you’re not reliable and consistent, you won’t be part of the team for long. Those are the straight facts. To be part of a winning team you must hold yourself to a higher standard. You must become accountable and reliable through action and discipline.
