Habits vs. Creative paralysis.

Creative paralysis is never fun. It can be unexpected. It can be long and excruciating. Creativity can come to a complete stop and the feeling of being overwhelmed can take over. It doesn’t have to be all bad though.

Forming habits around your creative endeavors can work wonders for your progress. It takes time and effort to build habits. Building the consciously and purposefully can yield great long term results. When you decide to do something everyday, at a specific time, for a specific amount of time - no excuses whatsoever - you can achieve a lot. If you commit to the idea, commit to the habit, you’ll find that work becomes easy. Paralysis isn’t in the picture. At least not for the habit.

When you form creative habits it not a matter of “if you can do something” or “when you can do something” - it’s a matter of “doing something”. The option of not doing doesn’t exist.
