Small Steps & Giant Leaps
We all want to make those grand moves, those amazing decisions that net out to be the smartest thing you’ve ever done.
I think we’ve all been sold that lie - and there’s plenty of evidence to support it - read up on the concept of “overnight success”. It just doesn’t exist. Behind that success is likely months and years of work and missteps and failures and trials and improvements and some good ideas.
Giant leaps do happen, but they’re proceeded by numerous small steps - like a pole-vaulter, you’ll need to gain momentum into that giant leap. Without those initial steps that leap becomes much smaller. Or better yet, it doesn’t even happen.
Everyday i take small steps - at least small steps - forward. Sometimes I’m able to sprint. Sometimes I fall. The trick is to get up and move forward. I’m working up to that Giant Leap. Hopefully you’ll see it in these pages.
This series of content is a small experiment. I pledged to create a piece of content on my site for the next 365 days. You can read the opening post here. The posts aren’t limited to thoughts or ideas, they’re really just a way for me to create original content. If you got any feedback/questions, please reach out. Thanks for looking.
